MORE ABOUT APOLOGETICS SA

Ministry Profile

Who is

Apologetics is the field of study that seeks to establish why the gospel of Jesus is the true revelation from God. The discipline seeks to present the truth of the gospel to the questions and struggles society grapples with daily.

Apologetics SA strives to lay a solid Biblical and theological foundation in every believer’s life with an in depth study of God’s Word, and then to build on that foundation with further theological and apologetics training on how to effectively present Christianity in a world that has become increasingly hostile to the gospel and to the truth.

The Apologetics SA team has taught many believers to study God’s Word in depth and to assist them as they follow this up with theological degree studies or apologetics training. As former Bible College students, the dedicated team teach, guide, equip and encourage onsite and online students. The online administrative team have been serving online students pastorally for over ten years by encouraging, assisting and praying with them to complete their studies successfully.

About the

PS JOHN GROBLER

Apologetics SA was founded by John Grobler and his close associates, under the direction of the Lord Jesus, to encourage, build up and strengthen the church in the knowledge of the gospel and to provide believers with a central hub of information where they can find sound material to guide and train them.

The Lord saved John in September 1985. He did not grow up in an institutional church and vocational Christian ministry was a foreign concept. In 1989 he resigned a job in a bank and joined a mission organization. Through doing evangelism on the streets and in night clubs, being involved in a ministry of reconciliation to the poor, through missionary training, international travel and teaching, and leading a Bible College in a local church, he is now expanding what he has learned to the Apologetics SA online platform to encourage believers to keep engaging the world with the truth of the gospel.

Living through apartheid, being confronted with questions from interactions in Johannesburg’s inner city and the streets of Cape Town, and meeting Christians on different continents led to John’s quest to search for the truth of the gospel as opposed to cultural expressions of the truth. Through many years he discovered that the human experience of pain and search for meaning is the same the world over. As a Christian his goal is to understand how people are struggling in order to guide them to the relief that Jesus Christ offers.
